Welcome to Bath School of Dance

Established in 1972, Bath School of Dance offers classes in classical ballet, contemporary dance and more.  Based in Combe Down (Bath) and Bradford-on-Avon, the School promotes a welcoming and inclusive environment for female and male identifying dancers of all ages and abilities.

 

Our teachers are fully qualified, with enhanced DBS checks, and bring a wealth of experience, working together to encourage our students to take their Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examinations.  Participating in our biennial shows also gives our students the opportunity to gain confidence in performing.  Looking to join our teaching team?  Our teaching vacancies page details current vacancies with the School. 

 

At Bath School of Dance, we encourage a holistic approach to dance and our timetable of non-syllabus dance classes for children and workshop sessions in diverse dance styles complements and enhances RAD ballet training.  We also recognise the importance of dance to our students' physical and mental well-being and to their growth as individuals.

Our dance classes for adults allow us to bring the joy and healing powers of dance to adult dancers of all abilities, whether complete beginners, professionals, or rediscovering their love of dance as adults.

We are pleased to have launched our Dancer Support crowdfund; an ongoing fund that will be used to support dancers on a low income.  All donations to the fund are gratefully received.  If you would like to access support from this fund, please contact us for an informal chat.
